Job Description

Facility: Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park Location: Maitland, Florida Schedule: Part-Time | Weekends Only Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts) Pay Rate: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour Key Responsibilities Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care treatment plans. Provide care for pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, burns, traumatic wounds, ostomies, and other skin conditions. Perform routine skin assessments and identify residents at risk for skin breakdown. Administer wound care treatments in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practices. Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident outcomes. Educate residents, families, and staff on wound prevention, treatment plans, and proper skin care techniques. Evaluate nutritional status, pressure-relieving devices, and other factors affecting wound healing. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of assessments, treatments, and resident progress. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies related to wound care and infection prevention. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida. Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care. Previous wound care experience strongly preferred. Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or equivalent) is preferred but not required. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team. Why Join Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park?
